About CircuitBay

Engineering decisions need to account for how things are actually built.

The approach

CircuitBay’s engineering approach combines product technical management, PCBA factory operations, in-house prototyping, and external manufacturing handover. The emphasis is on every interface between a design decision and an actual delivery.

How responsibility is handled

Scope, deliverables, exclusions, and acceptance criteria are agreed in writing before development starts. Where a task depends on a specialist partner or a third-party laboratory, that dependency is named in the scope rather than presented as in-house capability.

How projects are selected

Engagements are selected on engineering responsibility and return, not on board count. A small quantity of specialised equipment with a real development budget can be a good fit; a large volume that only requires the lowest purchase price is usually not.

What is agreed separately

Mechanical and enclosure work, industrial design, tooling, app or cloud development, formal certification, third-party laboratories, shipping and duties, import responsibility, additional revisions, production fixtures, and after-sales support. Firmware, RF, power safety, security, special environments, and safety-critical functions are assessed according to capability and specialist partner arrangements.

How we state capability

Capability is described in terms of work actually performed, with the stage of each project stated. Planning, prototyping, validation, and production are kept separate. We do not describe off-the-shelf chip application design as in-house silicon development.

First contact should be a non-confidential summary. Confidential material follows once confidentiality arrangements are in place.

04 / ENGINEERING PERSPECTIVE

Technical decisions informed by the manufacturing floor.

CircuitBay's approach draws on technical leadership, PCBA factory operations, hands-on prototyping, and external manufacturing handover.

The value is in connecting decisions across the project—not simply placing another factory order.
